Retreat Terms And Conditions

The agreements that hold the container. Please read before you book.

LAST UPDATED: June 2026

This retreat is a small, founder-led container. Fourteen women, seven days, one house in Puerto Escondido. Because the group is intimate and the partners we work with are committed to far in advance, these terms aren’t fine print – they’re the structure that lets the work be real. Read them slowly. Book from a clear yes.

"Wild Softness" is a retreat program presented in partnership by Bianca Uguccioni, operating as Affirmative Healing Psychotherapy (Ontario, Canada), and Julie Petrosyan, operating in her individual capacity (United Kingdom), collectively referred to in these terms as "Wild Softness," "we," "us," or "our." Bookings, payments, and the obligations described in these terms are made with both parties jointly. Each facilitator carries her own professional liability insurance and is independently responsible for her own tax and legal obligations in her respective jurisdiction.

01 - THE CONTAINER

Booking & Your Spot

Your place is reserved when we receive your deposit and a signed registration. Spots are limited and held in the order they’re paid - not the order you express interest. Joining the priority list secures earlier access and founding-circle pricing where available; it does not, on its own, reserve a seat.

The retreat is for women, 18+. By booking, you confirm you’ve read these terms, the retreat description, and the inclusions and exclusions on the Wild Softness Retreat page, and you’re choosing this with a clear yes.

02 - HOLDING YOUR PLACE

The Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of $750 CAD is due at the time of booking. The deposit holds your seat in the circle, allows us to commit to our local partners and protects the integrity of a small group.

The deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances initiated by you. If you have paid in full, the $750 deposit portion remains non-refundable. The deposit is, however, transferable under the terms in Section 05.

03 - THE LAST STEP

Balance Payment

A second payment of 50% of your remaining balance is due September 15, 2026, with the final 50% due November 15, 2026.

Missed payments without communication may result in the cancellation of your reservation and the forfeiture of any funds paid, including any portion already remitted to vendor partners.

Pricing is in CAD. Currency conversions, foreign transaction fees, and any bank surcharges are the participant’s responsibility.

Late Bookings

Spots remain available for booking after November 15, 2026, subject to availability. Reservations made on or after this date require payment in full at the time of booking. All payments made after November 15, 2026, are 100% non-refundable, consistent with our standard cancellation policy.

04 - IF PLANS CHANGE

Cancellation by You

Life moves. If you need to cancel, please notify us in writing at hello@julie-lit.com or bianca@affirmativehealing.ca. Your cancellation date is the day we receive your written notice – not the day you decided.

The refund schedule below reflects the prepaid, non-recoverable commitments we make to host the retreat:

Before November 15, 2026: Full refund of any payments made beyond the $750 CAD deposit. The deposit remains non-refundable.

On or after November 15, 2026: 100% non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for any portion of the payment, including the balance.

No-show or early departure: 100% non-refundable. The retreat is a closed container; partial attendance is not refunded or prorated.

05 - A DIFFERENT WOMAN, SAME SEAT

Transferring Your Spot

If you cannot attend, you may transfer your registration to another woman, provided she meets the retreat’s criteria (18+, willing to sign the same terms) and Wild Softness is notified in writing at least 60 days before the retreat start date. A $169.50 CAD administrative transfer fee must be paid to Wild Softness by the participant initiating the transfer.

The transfer of a spot is a private arrangement between you and the incoming participant - Wild Softness does not mediate or facilitate the exchange of funds between participants. All transfers are subject to approval by Wild Softness. Once approved by Wild Softness in writing and the transfer fee is paid, the incoming participant assumes all rights and obligations under these terms as of the date of transfer.

06 - YOUR REAL PROTECTION

Travel Insurance

Comprehensive emergency medical insurance is required for every participant. This is not optional and not a formality. Puerto Escondido is remote, and your coverage is your primary protection if a medical emergency arises during the retreat.

Your policy must cover, at minimum:

Emergency medical treatment

Emergency medical evacuation

Proof of medical insurance is required no later than 30 days before the retreat start date. We reserve the right to refuse participation without it, with no refund.

Trip cancellation and interruption insurance is strongly recommended but not required. Given our cancellation policy (see Section 04), this coverage protects your financial investment if you're unable to attend for any reason. Lost or delayed baggage and flight delay/missed connection coverage are also worth considering, though not required.

If you want the broadest protection against cancellation for any reason, look for a policy that includes "cancel for any reason" (CFAR) coverage — it costs more, and for many travellers, it's worth it.

07 - GETTING YOURSELF THERE

Flights & Personal Expenses

Flights are not included. Each participant is responsible for booking and paying for her own travel to and from Puerto Escondido International (PXM).

The following are additionally not included in the retreat price and remain each participant's responsibility:

Meals during the excursion day (restaurant costs are the participant's responsibility)

Alcoholic beverages and specialty drinks

Personal spending during free time, including souvenirs, additional spa or surf sessions outside the program, and any independent activities

Additional transportation during free time (e.g., trips into town, taxis, or independent excursions)

Any accommodation nights before or after the retreat dates

Emergency medical insurance (required) and trip cancellation insurance (strongly recommended)

Optional additional tipping for individual staff (additional individual tipping always optional, see exclusions)

Payment processing fees (4.5% for credit card)

We strongly recommend booking flights only after the retreat is confirmed (minimum group size met – see Section 08) and your insurance is in place. Wild Softness is not responsible for any cost associated with flight cancellations, delays, changes, or rebookings, including in the event of retreat postponement or cancellation.

Travel Documents & Entry Requirements

Each participant is responsible for ensuring she holds a valid passport (with the minimum validity required by Mexican entry requirements) and any visa or entry documentation required for her nationality to enter Mexico. Requirements vary by citizenship and can change without notice — please confirm current entry requirements with the Mexican consulate or your government's travel advisory page well in advance of booking flights.

Wild Softness is not responsible for any participant who is denied boarding or entry due to insufficient travel documentation, and no refund will be issued in such cases, consistent with Section 04.

08 - WHEN WE CANCEL

Cancellation by Wild Softness

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone the retreat in the following cases:

The minimum group size or revenue threshold necessary to responsibly operate the retreat is not met by November 15, 2026

Unforeseen safety concerns at the destination, venue, or in transit

A force majeure event (see Section 09)

Serious incapacity of one or both of the facilitators that cannot be reasonably covered

If we cancel for reasons within our control (e.g., minimum not met), you will receive a full refund of all monies paid, less the administrative costs of $169.50 already committed on your behalf and any credit card processing fees already paid.

We will provide written notice of any company-led cancellation at least 30 days before the retreat start date whenever reasonably possible. We are not responsible for any non-refundable flights, visa fees, or personal travel costs you have incurred. This is what your insurance is for.

09 - BEYOND OUR HANDS

Force Majeure

Force majeure refers to any event or circumstance beyond the reasonable control of Wild Softness that prevents, delays, or materially affects the ability to deliver the retreat as planned. These events include, but are not limited to:

Acts of God or natural disasters (earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, wildfires, storms)

War, armed conflict, terrorism, or threat of terrorism

Civil unrest, political instability, riots, or insurrection

Government actions, travel advisories, border closures, or travel restrictions

Airspace closures, airport shutdowns, or major transportation disruptions

Pandemics, epidemics, or public health emergencies

Strikes, labour disputes, or critical supplier failure beyond our control

Any other unforeseeable circumstance that makes it unsafe, illegal, or impossible to operate the retreat

In the event of force majeure, Wild Softness may:

Modify the itinerary, accommodations, or included experiences as needed

Postpone the retreat to a later date with credit applied to your registration

Cancel the retreat if it cannot safely or reasonably proceed

Financial terms under force majeure

By booking, you acknowledge and agree that all payments are subject to the terms of our third-party partners (venue, ceremony leaders, local transport, chefs, healers), and in many cases, funds are prepaid and non-recoverable once committed.

In the event of a force majeure disruption:

Refunds will be strictly limited to funds we are able to recover from third-party suppliers

Where suppliers issue credits rather than refunds, those credits will be passed on to you where possible, or held against a future retreat date

Wild Softness is not liable for unrecovered costs caused by force majeure events

This, again, is what comprehensive travel insurance is for.

10 - HOW WE HOLD EACH OTHER

Code of Conduct

This retreat is a closed container of women doing real work. The integrity of that container depends on every participant. By booking, you agree to conduct yourself with respect, integrity, and consideration for every other woman in the room - including the facilitators, the staff at the venue, and the local partners and community.

The following are grounds for immediate removal from the retreat, without refund:

Harassment, intimidation, aggression, or discriminatory conduct of any kind

Theft, damage to property, or unsafe behaviour

Repeated disruption of the program or the rest of the group after a private conversation

Use of recreational drugs on the retreat premises or while participating in retreat activities

Any conduct that compromises the physical safety, emotional safety, or well-being of others

In the event of removal, the participant will be required to leave the retreat immediately and will be solely responsible for any onward travel, accommodation, or related expenses. No refund will be issued.

Alcohol is not part of the retreat program. The container itself is alcohol-free. Town night, where applicable, is at each woman’s personal discretion and at her own cost.

11 - HONEST ABOUT THE WORK

Health, Medical & Therapy Disclaimer

Wild Softness is a somatic, embodied, trauma-informed retreat. It includes yoga, breathwork, meditation, ceremony, cold exposure, traditional temazcal, and group process work. It is not psychotherapy, not medical treatment, and not a substitute for either.

By booking, you confirm that:

You are in reasonable physical and mental health to participate, and you have disclosed any condition that could materially affect your safety or the group’s, including pregnancy, cardiovascular conditions, recent surgeries, seizure history, severe mental health diagnoses, or current substance dependency

You are not currently in active crisis, and you have an existing support system (therapist, doctor, or trusted practitioner) you can return to after the retreat

You will participate in practices at your own pace, listen to your body, and opt out of any activity that feels unsafe – opt-out is always available and never penalized

You are responsible for your own medications, dietary needs, and any medical decisions you make during the retreat

The facilitators will hold the container with care, training, and presence. They are not, in this setting, your therapist or physician. If you are uncertain whether this retreat is right for your current life chapter, please write to us before booking. An honest conversation now is worth more than a forced fit later.

While Bianca Uguccioni, RP, is a registered psychotherapist, her role within Wild Softness is that of retreat co-facilitator, not treating clinician. No clinician-client or therapist-client relationship is established through participation in this retreat. The retreat is not group therapy, individual psychotherapy, diagnosis, or treatment. Participants seeking individual therapeutic support should continue working with their own treating provider before, during, and after the retreat.

12 - WHAT STAYS IN THE CIRCLE

Confidentiality of the Circle

What is shared in circle, in dyads, and in private conversation with facilitators or other participants stays in the circle. By booking, you agree not to share – by name, by identifying detail, or in any public forum – what another woman discloses on this retreat. This includes social media, podcasts, group chats, and casual conversation back home.

Your own story is yours to tell. Others’ stories are not. This is the floor that lets the depth happen.

13 - PHOTOGRAPHS & STORY

Media & Presence

We document the retreat thoughtfully – landscape, food, group images in non-vulnerable moments, occasional candid portraits - for use in Wild Softness’s marketing, website, and social channels. By participating, you consent to appearing in this imagery.

If you prefer to remain off camera, let us know at the opening circle or at any point during the retreat, and we will honour that for the duration. No image taken during a ceremony, somatic practice, or private sharing will be used publicly without explicit, separate written consent.

14 - THE LIMITS OF OUR ROLE

Professional Responsibility

Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge that this retreat involves physical, emotional, and somatic practices that carry inherent risk, including but not limited to yoga, breathwork, meditation, ceremony, cold exposure, traditional temazcal, ocean swimming, and group process work. These risks include, without limitation, physical injury, fainting, hyperventilation, emotional distress, illness, and in rare cases, serious injury or death. You voluntarily assume all such risks, understanding that no amount of caution by Wild Softness or its facilitators can eliminate them entirely.

Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and forever discharge Wild Softness, its facilitators (Bianca Uguccioni and Julie Petrosyan), and their respective employees, contractors, and local partners from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising from injury, loss, damage, or death sustained during or in connection with the retreat - except where such injury, loss, damage, or death results from the gross negligence or wilful misconduct of Wild Softness or its facilitators.

This release does not apply to obligations Wild Softness owes you under Sections 04, 08, and 09 of these terms (refunds and cancellation), nor does it limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot be waived by agreement.

Third-Party Providers

Wild Softness acts as the facilitator and host of this retreat. We curate and coordinate the program, the venue, the local partners, and the schedule. We choose our partners with care, and we hold ourselves to a high standard of professional conduct.

However, Wild Softness is not liable for the acts, omissions, or failures of independent third-party providers – including but not limited to airlines, ground transport, the venue's staff, independent ceremony leaders, healers, surf instructors, or excursion vendors - except where required by applicable law. Participation in any activity (yoga, breathwork, cold exposure, temazcal, ocean swimming, excursions) is at each participant's own risk.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wild Softness and its facilitators from any claims, costs, or damages arising from your own conduct during the retreat, including but not limited to violations of the Code of Conduct (Section 10), property damage you cause, or harm to another participant resulting from your actions.

Limitation of Liability

Where liability cannot be fully excluded by law, Wild Softness's total liability to you in connection with the retreat is limited to the amount you paid for your registration.

Liability Waiver

As a condition of participation, you will also be required to read and sign a separate liability waiver and risk disclosure form prior to the retreat. This Section does not replace that waiver; both apply concurrently.

Travel Partner

Wild Softness works in partnership with Roam X Rise, a TICO-registered travel agency, ensuring all travel bookings and payments adhere to the professional standards required under Ontario travel-industry regulation.

Bookings managed by Roam to Rise – Trevello: TICO #5003057, 2010 Winston Park Drive, Suite 200, Oakville, ON L6H 5R7. Trevello Head Office: (647) 689-3884.

15 - YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy & Data

What We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to register you, keep you safe during the retreat, and stay in touch where you've asked us to. This includes:

General information: name, contact information, emergency contact details, payment information, and general dietary preferences.

Health information: any medical conditions, mental health history, pregnancy, surgeries, or substance use you disclose under Section 11, along with your proof of medical insurance, and any dietary restriction tied to a medical condition or allergy.

Health information is treated as a special, more sensitive category of data. By disclosing it, you give us your explicit, separate consent to collect and use it solely for the purpose of assessing your safety and fit for the retreat's physical practices, and for responding appropriately in a medical emergency. We do not use health information for marketing or any purpose beyond your safety and the safety of the group.

Who Holds Your Data

Bianca Uguccioni (Affirmative Healing, Ontario, Canada) and Julie Petrosyan (United Kingdom) each collect and access participant information in connection with operating this retreat, and are each independently responsible, as joint controllers, for how your data is collected, used, and protected. Your data may be accessed by both facilitators and, where necessary for booking and travel logistics, by Roam X Rise / Trevello (see Section 14).

Because we operate across Canada and the United Kingdom, your information may be transferred between these jurisdictions. We take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a comparable standard wherever it is held or accessed.

How Long We Keep It

We retain registration, health, and insurance information for the duration of the retreat and for 12 months afterward, for safety, insurance, and record-keeping purposes, after which it is securely deleted unless you request earlier deletion or we are required by law to retain it longer.

Security

Health and insurance information is stored separately from general marketing data, with access limited to the facilitators and, where necessary, emergency personnel. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, restrict, or request deletion of your personal data, object to certain uses of it, or request a copy in a portable format. You may exercise any of these rights, opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link, or ask a question about how your data is handled by writing to hello@julie-lit.com or bianca@affirmativehealing.ca.

If you are based in the UK or EU and are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority. If you are based in Canada, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Your Emergency Contact

By providing emergency contact information, you confirm that you have permission to share that person's name and contact details with us, and that they understand we may contact them only in the event of a medical or safety emergency during the retreat.

We do not sell or rent your data. We use standard website analytics (page views, referral source, broad geography) to understand what is and isn't serving the community.

16 - THE LAST WORD

Governing Law & Contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and any dispute arising from or related to your booking will be addressed in good faith first by direct communication, then through mediation in Ontario before any further action.

If anything in these terms is unclear, or if your situation feels like an edge case the language doesn’t quite cover, please write before you book. Clarity now is part of the practice.
